Breeding an endangered fish

Hi everyone! I am busy setting up three tanks for breeding Apistos. While doing so, I got to thinking - what about setting up a tank to breed an endangered fish.

Any ideas on a practical approach?  Type/ Breed that is not impossible?

Go grab some White Clouds and you can do just that.

The #1 cause of species loss is habitat destruction, to really tackle the issue their environment needs to be addressed.

I currently keep a strain of White Cloud Minnows that is said to be extinct in the wild. I also know that the Chattanooga Aquarium is currently doing a program to breed some endangered species atm.

Yeah all white clouds are extinct in the wild, altho I think they’ve reintroduced them some. Also I really want barrens topminnow which is one of the endangered fish Chattanooga aquarium is working with

You can go to the caresforfish.com website and see a list of endangered fish for the aquarium, some of them are like wow that’s really pretty and others are like well yeah I can see why that’s endangered and no ones working on it lol

Thanks! I had gone to that site and was a bit blown over at first. It does require some study but I am ok with that.

Yeah...the poor plain fish.Maybe I will pick one of them especially if I can understand their impact.
