Karen B.
Greetings! I transfered my community tank from a 20 gallons high to a 30 gallons (36 x 12 x 16). I will wait a couples of week to let it establish itself back to normal, get used to the parameters and such but I was wondering if I could add few more Chili Rasboras without being overcrowded. Current population: 3 honey gourami (1m, 2f), 15 Chili Rasboras, 8 false julii corydoras and 3 very dumb nerita snails. I do hope my corydoras breed (which they do) AND that my female honey gourami stop snacking on some of to fry as I would like to have about 10-12 corydoras. The tank is planted (plants need to grow, it’s not that obvious on the picture), heated, filtered by a HOB filter (tidal 50) and a sponge filter. Could I add few more Chili Rasboras? If yes, how many? Thank you! Edited May 6, 2022 by Karen B. Forgot to add the picture

Hannah Parker
I think you definitely could, they're so tiny. I would say anywhere from 5-10, depending on how often you do water changes. Shoot, maybe you could even add 15 if you want to go wild. It also will depend if your tank has more height than length, or vice versa.
lefty o
yes. you just went up 30% in tank size, another handful of chili's wont even be noticeable.
DaveO
Great looking tank. I agree with the others on adding more 🌶️ rasbora. Or you could contrast color with green neon Kubotai rasbora.
