JoeQ
Pretty sure my box filter shananagins are over. My angel fish and a guppies fins look horrible, lost a honey Gourami from a swim bladder problem. Terrible plant growth, and algae up the wazoo. Time to go back to my fluval 307 and see how increased turnover (8x per hour) affects things. I might even upgrade to a 407 (10x per hour). Just cause I can justify it to others! 🤣 Fyi, the orange guppy is the same guppy. And for transparency today I also did a deep gravel vac on the back 1/4 of the tank. JoeQ
Getting there little by little, played with arranging today. Glued some neglected baby buce to rocks. Scrapped the Christmas moss mat from the back wall. Hoping to create a chaotic/natural Dutch themed aquascape that will make @Mmiller2001 proud!

Tonights progress wasn't necessarily trying for a scape, mostly just moving things to where i thought ideas might work and tidying my tank up. The rules give me more clarity on how to progress.
JoeQ
Meh...... A good Idea turned from a good idea to 'stick that s*@t shomewhere and get on with your day.....'. Guess ill let it grow in and see what we got, if anything I cleared a lot of clutter into something I can slowly tweak.
JoeQ
Getting there one plant at a time! That Johnny Cash song similarly named echos in my head as I scape. 🤣 My perspective from where I sit. Front view
PonyPlantedTanks
I really like the Pennywort on the top! Just such a cool plant and it doesn’t look like it’s throwing too much shade in your tank.

I plan to eventually move that heater and trim the mass of pennywort in the middle that does throw some shade, but not until other plants grow in. JoeQ
No big whoop, just journaling some new plants. Still pretty bad at creating a visually appealing scape.

Beardedbillygoat1975
An enjoyable journal and I can definitely identify with the diamond tetras. I remember when I got back into the hobby 2018/2019 that tetras are impossible to breed and well that ain’t the case!
