modified lung
I've kept them anywhere between low 60s and mid 80s°F and pH 7.5–7.8. They are really hardy but dont accept much dry food.
Biotope Biologist
I had a pair as a kid in a 10 gallon black water setup. The pH was stable at 6.8 and I had the heater set to 75. I too had issues feeding dry food and fed them mainly daphnia and cyclops. I didn’t keep any other fish with them and they were very shy.

Have a tank I want to add them to and my ph around 6.5 to 6.7 so should be good then
