ndfi78
I received this plant (can't remember the name) awhile ago, and it is growing like gangbusters. It appears to be putting off roots in the middle of the plant though. I'm sure I should be using that to propagate it, but I'm sure not sure the proper procedure. Any tips? Seattle_Aquarist
Hi @ndfi78 The plant is Hygrophila difformis (aka Water Wisteria). To propagate cut at a leaf / stem junction just below where the roots emerge. Plant the top. The top will grow, the bottom will sprout new stems at leaf / stem junctions. Nice and healthy looking BTW. -Roy 1

JoeQ
Healthy happy stems grow roots mid stem, it helps them out compete other plants.
