Green water yay or nsy

I have a "breeding for profit" 20 gal with Benteys Blue Hawaiians, mystery snails and orange shrimp. Floating water sprite and have clumps of xmas moss as well. Running med sponge filter. It's getting green water algae and I've been thinking of just rocking the green water. Besides being I guess unsightly any reason not to? I've heard the animals can thrive in it.

Perk of it is that it's a great free food for some fish. Drawback is you can't see what you've got going on in the tank. If you're keeping up with water changes and are able to get a glimpse of what is going on there shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes green water will be a problem for a few weeks and then out of no where go away.
