WhitecloudDynasty
8 hour ride to the first location The weather didn't work out for us so we only had 1 good collecting day. First location was up a mountain, hillstream setup. Very shallow cold water. Fish was scattered all over in very small number. Didn't see any fry. Second location was going up north about 4 hour It was behind a pharmacy...it feel so weird to be out collecting fish when normal people walk by...lol This was just a runoff For the city Right there where the rocks were at was about 80-85f degrees and in the main channel just 4 feet away was around 50-60f degrees. I sure did chase them into the deeper water and they didnt care. So dont worry so much about temperature swing. These rainbow was in huge size school. These rain shiner are supposed to be the red kind. Knowing that they do have less blue and they are huge in size My main goal wasn't to clear out the creek. It was to get new genetic to work with. At the first location we caught around 30 but released all but 5 fish, second location we was luck just to catch these 3 males. If I can get babies from these few fish then the trip will be a success 7
Fish Folk
Once they settle in to your water back home, I’d sure appreciate seeing how they compare to your stock. I know you’re very attentive to details, so (and sorry if this is a bother) I think I’d learn a lot if you set them in side-by-side specimen containers and made a video comparing the wild line with your brooders at home. Also, knowing you breed with goals, I’d like to learn exactly what your goals are apart from just adding wild genetics to your lines. Is there a certain color goal you’re reaching towards? Thanks always for your good work. Very inspiring! I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets his boys out in the stream after wild fish 😂 Edited April 17, 2022 by Fish Folk

They wanted to try for saffron shiner next..but I don't have the tank space. The goal is to breed them to themselves for the first few year, seeing if they are worth crossing into my family. So far I still like my family more than wild stock and I wouldn't want to ruin my line. I would like to add new genetic line in the future, but I haven't seen any lines out there I like so I'll create another lol. 1
