Will my Platy ever give birth??

I've got a couple platys that look like they've been pregnant for a month and a half but haven't given birth. 

Is it possible for them to be to stressed and there be complications?

she looks pretty darned close. things can happen that can stress them and cause them to hold or abort, but id bet yours is just now getting close.

That is a portly platy! I bet she has babies soon.

I've been surprised how long it has taken some of my female livebearers who arrived from the fish store pregnant to actually give birth. I have a black molly I've had since early December and she has not appeared to give birth to any fry even though she was with males in the shop and looks quite chubby. Either she was miraculously never bred, or she's waiting for some signal she hasn't recieved.
