What does your background look like on your tank and what did you use?

@sweetpoison I have tried many different backgrounds, they all have their pros and cons. Ultimately, I choose my background based on what look I am going for in that particular aquarium. Here are some examples of my aquariums.

The start of my reef tank with the Current USA Serene Background Light. I mostly use it in blue now as the corals and fish look extra colorful with it. 

10 Gallon with the same Serene Background light except I am using window film meant to look like rice paper instead of the light diffusing background that comes with the background light, here it is in various colors:

40 Breeder with a Universal Rocks flat or slim type of 3d background, I easily installed this by using the sand substrate and the aquarium rim to hold it in place.

I use those too. I just scotch tape a little around the sides and it holds. Can’t really see the tape, honestly.

Well this is a mess ~ I just had to rip it all out because water behind it!   I will check out the stuff you’re talking about.   When I did use the black privacy film I maybe it got water but you can’t really tell but I don’t want to use black anymore too gloomy for me🙄

Do you have a picture?  I think I’m gonna do that ~ I went to the paint store and got periwinkle my favorite color For my 55 gallons, but I forgot what type of paint to get.  

But then I have to drain this tank in order to move it out to paint it😞🙄

I used a section of a TV box spray painted dark green for my 75 gallon and my wife had black vinyl so I used that on my 10 gallon.

You could take the background you have now and you could do packaging tape along the top of it so that water can't get in. And do the same for the sides.
