Amy C
I live by a nature reserve for birds and keep an outdoor pond. We have eagles, hawks cranes, you name it its like Jurassic Park sometimes but not so good for outside ponds...a Crane took 2 of my beautiful butterfly blues one summer(3yrs ago I think) did all research and nothing worked to deter it from wanting to return for buffet but came across one thing that seemed ridiculous but it worked...a radio 😆 no big predator birds come anywhere near as long as I have human voice heard by the pond now. Food for thought that I wanted to share is all. ❤️ 3

Food for thought that I wanted to share is all. ❤️ Back some 22 years ago, I rented an apartment in a small midwestern city downtown. From my porch, all day and night, I could hear screams of raptors. At some point it dawned on me that this was ridiculous. There wouldn’t be a bunch of hawks, falcons, eagles, etc. downtown, and they certainly wouldn’t be screaming all night. Out of sheer curiosity, I traced the sound to the parking lot of a high-end rare car dealer. They had speakers blaring raptor calls 24/7 to keep pigeons away so they wouldn’t poop on the expensive cars 🤣🤣🤣 🐦 🦅 Edited April 4, 2022 by Fish Folk 1
