Hello,

Newbie to this forum.

55 gallon established community tank ~ PH 6.7 ~ Water Temp 77°

This Tetra has these tumor like bulges on both sides

It's otherwise acting normal and showing no signs of distress.  My question is does anyone know what this is? Is there anything that can be done to help?

Thanks for any insight.

Could be a prolapse looking at were it's located the best treatment for a prolapse is Epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes 2-3 time's a day as Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxants to help your fish reabsorb the prolapse or it could be a fluid filled cyst Epsom salt will also help to reduce the fluid buildup

Thanks Colu.

I will take your advice and try the salt baths. I will come back and update how things go.
