Curious question about Nano Filter. Can green tube be shortened for my crazy journey of experimental nursury buid

Hello, I may be inquiring in the wrong place. Ive never used sponge filters before and was looking at getting some from here at Co Op. specifically interested in nano ones but they seem to still  be a little taller than what I'm needing. Very curious if I could cut the green tube to shorten it.

Sure, and if you are running an air stone in the filter you can even skip it altogether.

Thank You, That was an Awesome video for me to consider this product! My clutch Im building a nursury for is axolotls. Only concern i now have would be the coarse filter vs finer fliter but I think if I wait a little while (Shipping 🙂 Time) and keep air minimal then they should be happier for it.

I cut the spout tubes in half with a hand hacksaw. Just go easy since the plastic isn't that thick. No problem at all.

Yes, very easy.  You can even use the cut off half inside the filter to somewhat corral bubbles.
