Help me ID these worms

I cannot quite make it out with my not great eyes but these may help you identify. Triangle head and eyes ( may need magnifying glass to see eyes)are planarian.  Fatter bodies are rhabdocoela, thin threads no distinguishing features are detritus (most likely I’m not a biologist so …)

I cannot get my phone to focus on the worms beyond 10x, which is shown in the video. Given that they were on the back glass early in the day and hid as the lights turned on, I think they are Planaria.

It is a little late to ask, since I have one on order, but any luck with the Planaria traps? Would it be a mistake to try to feed them to the fish in my community tank? I do have some Neocaridina there and plan to add more, but I am not expecting to have many shrimplets survive there.

I was able to trap planaria but it wasn’t enough to clear the infestation.  I ended up using No Planaria which was very effective.  But it absolutely will kill nerite snails, doesn’t seem to affect ramshorns or bladder snails. I didn’t use it in any tanks with mysteries or other species so I couldn’t say about any other species.

This tank has Neocaridina, Bladder Snails, and mystery fry that we think are Zebra Danios. The fry are so small that they are probably feeding of the various microorganisms in the tank as much as the fry food that I provide. I am afraid that any medication to kill the Planaria would also kill off other microorganisms.

The traps should help me get a positive ID, then I can make a plan for when the fry are moved out.

Probably a good plan.  I’m not sure what it would do to fry but suspect it would be hard on the microorganisms they feed on.  You might be surprised how much you catch with your trap but it will still leave lots behind.
