Somethingfishy
Hi everyone, I have 6 adult Congo tetras and 4 adult angel fish in a 250L heavily planted tank. 2 hours ago i noticed one of the Congo tetras had gotten itself stuck between the filter and glass. I freed it but it is laying on its side, breathing heavily and only swims weakly when disturbed. There has been no improvement in the past 2 hours. Should I move him to a hospital tank (I have all the necessary equipment) or leave him in his normal tank to recover? I have not noticed the other fish harassing it so far. Is there anything else I can do to improve his odds of survival? Thanks in advance for any advice!
DaveO
I would get the spare tank ready but not use it yet. At the first sign of aggression from a tank mate then I would put him in it. If there is no injury to him he is best to rest and recover.
