Amano Shrimp with Betta

I'm seriously pondering getting a few amano shrimp to do some algae cleaning in my 6 gallon betta tank.

My big question is, will the betta be agressive toward them since he's had the tank to himself for a couple weeks?

This will all depend from betta to betta. Some tolerate tankmates, and some dont.

To answer your question: In my experiance a betta being in his own tank with nobdy else wont effect if he can tank mates. I've actually read a number of articles where they suggest to put the betta in bythem seleves for the first few weeks to establish their territory. 

I'd say go for it! If you see it possibly not working out, have a back up plan for the amanoshrimp.

If things don't work out I can definitely move them to my slightly larger community tank.
