so my betta who I noticed had popeye is getting worse I put kanaplex which says on the label can treat popeye but now there’s like white stuff on his “eyelid” (above the eyeS) and the white stuff is on both now. How do I treat this without mixing meds and making it toxic for him

kanaplex says treats bacterial and fungal infections by the way

Also the white stuff doesn’t seem to be fuzzy or anything

If Popeye affecting both eyes it's more than likely caused by a bacterial infection I would add kanaplex to his food it's more effective and add some Aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will help with any possible fluid buildup in the eyes that can causes the swelling and will treat any possible fungal infection and add some Indian almond as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you need to  add 1 leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect

Thank you so much

There’s a platy in there too (long story it’s temporary) If I put him back to my community tank will he hold the risk of spreading bacteria to all my fish? He’s not showing signs of popeye

Popeye isn't contagious
