KentFishFanUK Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Hi guys, was wondering if anyone could help identify what killed my neon tetra? I think it is probably neon tetra disease but was worried it could be columnaris or something else? I removed him as soon as I saw and I think it must have developed quickly as didn't notice any problems last night. Had my neon tetras for almost a year if it makes any difference. Either way are there any steps I should take to avoid my other ones getting it? Thanks in advance! 1
Fish Folk Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Sorry for your loss… This video may not be all that helpful in your circumstance, but you might discern a line or two that would apply. 1
Colu Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) If you haven't add any new neon Tetra's for over a year it could be Columnaris the best treatment is kanaplex and jungal fungas clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone together following this treatment schedule using jungal fungas clear fizz tabs instead of furan2 as it has been discontinued it could also be neon tetra disease in that case theirs not a lot treatment wise I could recommend @KentFishFanUKas your based in the UK high levels of salt 1 table spoon for 1 gallon and Sera baktopur direct tables active ingredient is nifurpirinol a broad spectrum antibiotic is an effective treatment for Columnaris Edited March 11, 2022 by Colu 3
