Wolf1
So, I have a seriously bushy 40 breeder with a good size cherry shrimp colony and a nice school of neon tetras (25 or so). I'm looking to add to it and my eye keeps falling on Clown killis and Lampeye killis...I can't find any real solid info one way or the other about if the two species of killis can co-exist or if they will be completely devastate my shrimp. Anyone have any incite they'd care to share?
Fish Folk
I’ve only kept Fundulopanchax Scheeli (Emerald Killis)… And recently Nothobranchius Guentheri (Redfin Nothos)… I’d be interested in hearing from Clown Killi keepers. If it were me, I’d _not_ try it. (Some) Killis act more like Bettas, and would decimate small juvenile shrimp. Maybe there’s some other colorful diminutive Amazon fish you’d love to watch? What about Coral Red Pencilfish? Or… if you can keep temperature above 80°-F… a trio of Discus? (The internet will break as I suggest this, but here’s a trio I added to my 40 breeder a few weeks ago)

eatyourpeas
I do not know if the two species can coexist, but I do have Lampeyes with Neocaridina and they seem to be fine with each other. Both have offspring in the tank at the moment.
