Brandon p
I had to repair a tank so I though in going to try something new I just don’t have the details worked. For some back ground I have many tanks some filtered in different ways. A one I had one tha had and old school , with some eco complete. The idea was to have a ground cover plant make it look like grass. I failed at that. I saw a video of people using moss from there back yard. In my area there is very little and managed to get enough to cover about 1/10 of my 20 gall that has shrimp and neons. The moss grew slow but steady. Soon abou 1/4 was cover. I had put in some othe plants and soon started making under water trees with the moss from the tank. this the moss/weeds that use the weds died leaving. now than was stolen from the 20 gal. Once it settles it grows mostly laterally. So for the ne tank I want to use an UGF modified and not use any subs try and only the moss to cover the bottom of the 55 gallon. Any ideas 💡
Fish Folk
My son used ground moss to cover a tank years ago. It was awesome for awhile! But I think the best thing is to buy a ton of Peacock Java Moss. It grows lovely fern-like shape, and can be trimmed… Of course, watch Green Aqua to get loads of advanced carpeting ideas. I’m too cheap for that just now! Edited March 7, 2022 by Fish Folk

One growns tightly to the ground and the other grows more like what you are talking about , fern like. He what’s me to try s To do a round tank in a Ying and yang. I don’t have a round tank but it’s idea for someone to run with. I’m interested because one of you so far even the same moss grows grow differently depending on the tank.
