  I have recently been reading about this lacy act being put in place, i was curious if anyone had anything to say on the topic. I read or skimmed the talking points but it's a ton of legal I dont fully understand there have been a few internet voices that have seamed to make sense of things. So I come to this community to see what your thoughts are?

My fish friends do not seem to worried that it will actually pass, but we can all agree that if it does pass, it will greatly impact the hobby and hurt\kill LFS because basically anything without a Latin name will likely become illegal, saltwater fish will also likely become illegal. You can see Maine as an example of what life would be like, they have a white list of approved pets, you can search the list to see if your favorite pets are on or off the list and this white list extends past fish, it’s all pets. You will be surprised the number of common harmless aquarium fish that are not on that white list while some head scratchers why a red tail catfish was on the approved list while Bristol nose plecos are not. Koi fish are illegal in Maine as well.
