Apistogramma Borellii

Field study reports summarized here have them in water temperature from 75-77 degrees Fahrenheit (24-25-C). I've seen ranges from 72-86 degrees F labeled as suitable online.

Best thing to do is contact a reliable source of origin -- a breeder, if possible - and learn from them.

I hear ya. I am hoping to run into a breeder here. Everyone I know keeps African Cichlids.

Thank you for the help.

This site has a number of interesting threads about all Apistogramma. I'll respectfully caution, from past personal experience, that not everyone there is as friendly as here on the CARE Forum. But most folks are helpful on the whole.

I hear ya. I use to keep Bettas until I found out I was doing it all wrong according to the Betta police. 😆

Took me awhile to get here, but I trust Cory that it would stay respectful.

I’m in no hurry for the answer to be honest. They just seemed interesting so I thought I would toss it out there. I have a few others to acquire before even thinking about others.

Thank you for the heads up.
