Axolotl & easy green

Recommended Posts

I pretty sure Cory mentioned something similar on a live stream about the safety of easy green. He stopped short of recommending anything swim directly in the easy green but it was safe for anything fish related or inverts at suggested doses.

I know the axolotl is neither of those but I would be totally comfortable after a water change (for me, even before) that it would be safe. Easy green is really nothing more then dosing nitrates, potassium, phosphates  and trace elements. I would imagine most of those are already in most tap water (at much lower concentrations) so a good water change should be fine.

Hope that helps.

But here is the list of ingredients in easy green:

  • Water Soluble Nitrogen (N) 2.66%
  • Available Phosphate (P2O5) 0.46%
  • Soluble Potash (K2O) 9.21%
  • Water Soluble Magnesium (Mg) 0.7%
  • Boron (B) 0.015%
  • Water Soluble Iron (Fe) 0.13%
  • Water Soluble Manganese (Mn) 0.036%
  • Molybdenum (Mo) 0.00098%
  • Water Soluble Zinc (Zn) 0.0072%

Thank you so much for your response, I've only added the root tabs twice since changing my substrate which is now the caribsea sand. But I dose regularly with the liquid.

I'm new to having an Axolotl and all I keep reading is no Ferts for them even with live plants, but I use the easy green because of how safe it is for all my other fish and snails. I really appreciate your feedback
