When in doubt, test the water. I tested a few brands of waters before settling on tap. I cam to learn that many of the spring or purified drinking waters had just as much chlorine as the tap. I looked into it from a drinking standpoint rather than a "good for fish standpoint" and learned that the process for many brands of waters is the same as municipal water treatment plants. Their facility is on a private and closed system, but it's filtered, purified, etc in relatively the same way that a municipal system purifies the tap. With any noteworthy differences being in the hardness and pH

Is the water out of a spring or is it an RODI distilled?   If its distilled than all the nutrients have been removed and isnt good for most fish in my experience
