Leo2o915 Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Anyone ever use Crystal Geyser bottled water to do water changes in the tank ?
Aqua junky Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Is the water out of a spring or is it an RODI distilled? If its distilled than all the nutrients have been removed and isnt good for most fish in my experience
Blaha Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 When in doubt, test the water. I tested a few brands of waters before settling on tap. I cam to learn that many of the spring or purified drinking waters had just as much chlorine as the tap. I looked into it from a drinking standpoint rather than a "good for fish standpoint" and learned that the process for many brands of waters is the same as municipal water treatment plants. Their facility is on a private and closed system, but it's filtered, purified, etc in relatively the same way that a municipal system purifies the tap. With any noteworthy differences being in the hardness and pH
