Cinnebuns
I'm going to start cycling what will become a split 10-gallon for guppy fry. I have a few questions regarding that: 1. Should I cycle it with or without the seperater in it? 2. Will the opposite side of the filter get adequate oxygen or do i need to add an air stone there when it becomes populated? 3. Any other things I should consider with this setup?

Levi_Aquatics
I agree with @lefty o The sponge will help the bacteria grow more and faster. Adding an airstone would be helpful or at the very least wouldn't hurt.
Biotope Biologist
I’d suction or silicone your foam wall so it doesn’t move, but otherwise looks like a good setup to me. you could seed the foam wall with java moss or anchor some anubias if you want for added biological filtration and a place for your fry to hangout
Cinnebuns
@Biotope Biologist you read my mind! I've been in the hobby about 3 month and have slowly gotten used to new plants by getting a new one each month starting my 2nd month in the hobby. I started with marimo moss balls cause they are brain dead easy then got water lettuce. My next plan was Java moss for the fry tanks. Might try some water lettuce in them eventually once I get enough too but I have to figure out my lighting situation then.
