Fish Luver
Hi, My name is Fishluver and this is my baby fish Ronda . I dont know but something is wrong pls help me so i can determine the disesase immediately. My fishes gills are red and curved + in his pectoral fins here it is red a little only ... I sent the photo to my local fishkeeper he told me to treat Ronda with yellow liquid and rock salt..I used but didnt see any results. He also suddenly flashes sometimes when i go near the fish tank . I think he has flukes but not sure which kind of . Also soon i am going to surprise him with a 40 gallon tank ( going to add a moor goldfish in 2023 ) . Pls tell me which plants can i add ...what type of filter should i use ? i brought a power filter but its flow was too heavy so it got broken . and what type of substrate should i use?

Fish Luver
@Colu I don't yet have a water test kit so i don't know the water parameters . He has it from second or third day i brought him .. i brought him on 3 nov 2021 . He looks completely healthy like he interacts with me whenever i am near the tank and forages and swims actively and sleeps well at night . I don't have more than $ 26.89 , i am saving money for his 40 gallon tank and supplies also i don't have a filter . no i haven't added anything new to the tank . Yes he is eating ok , i feed him fried bloodworms , flakes, pellets, peas etc...he swims to me whenever it is his feeding time and sometimes i feed him by hand. As i don't have a filter i net his poop every Morning and evening and i do i major water change every week . Please see his gills in the photo
Colu
Red and curved gill can be caused by ammonia burn as you don't have test kit i can't rule that out what I would for the time being is increase the frequency of your water changes to twice a week you could also add some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons and add some floating plants such as duckweed or water lettuce will help to filter your water
