Nope, suprisingly they spawned while i was gone and hes still eating. Looks like a bad bacterial infection and parasite?
Native Keeper
Well as long as his behavior is normal then don't freak out too much. Who knows, his body might be able to fight it off. But I would still quarantine him and hit him with any medicine you got.
Colu
Popeye is usually caused by a bacterial infection when it affects both eye's he also looks like he has the start of hole in the head what I would do is Qarantine and treat with kanaplex in food and metroplex to treat the water column metroplex will treat hole in the head and also treats anaerobic bacteria and kanaplex is a broad spectrum antibiotic that will help to treat bacterial causing popeye I would check your water parameters just incase something off as most case of hole in the head caused by poor water quality poor diet @Mako13 Edited January 5, 2022 by Colu
HH Morant
It appears to me that both eyes are abnormal, just one worse than the other.
timQ
Yeah, he passed yesterday. I tried treating but to no avail. All others in the tank are fine. Parameters are good, temps at 78, did a 30% water change and all others are good. Sucks but ill just do another water change and medicate the tank just in case. Thanks for all the info
