mona
I have a 10 gallon with hood. LED lights. A kit from Walmart, as in just add fish. Are these considered low light? ( There are two lights about 2 inches long under hood) I added low light plants a week or so ago and now it occurs to me this may not be what is meant by low light. Is it? If not, how can I add light when I have a jumping beta and need a lid of some kind?
xXInkedPhoenixX
Generally I've found they are low to medium lights- some of them are not great at growing things- some are. Set it up and if it's not to your satisfaction there are lots of submersible lights on the market you can look into that can be attached to tanks via suction cups- a lot of them can be attached inside the tank lid or you can put them under water. Some have some nice options and they are relatively inexpensive. Edited January 2, 2022 by xXInkedPhoenixX Typos are lame
Levi_Aquatics
Those lights would probably be considered low light and might be able to grow some low light plants. Some leds are not great at growing much though if you run into this problem there are many relatively inexpensive lights you could probably attach to the bottom of the hood. Hopefully the included lights work for you!
