Crystal_Marie
Hi all! I just added my betta and nerite yesterday. Fully cycled tank with live plants. Heated to 80°F. Today I’m noticing dozens of these tiny white creatures darting around. Also, yesterday I put sponges over the output of my pump to slow the flow (I have a fluval flex). Maybe these little guys were there before but the flow was too strong for me to see them? I’m new to this hobby so I was trying to Google them. I tried uploading a video but it wouldn’t work. I’ve put a picture instead. Can anyone tell me what they could be?
Guppysnail
Most likely copepods. These make good fish food and are entirely harmless. Your betta may or may not eat them it depends in the personality of the fish. Absolutely nothing to worry over but with a good magnifying glass are fascinating to watch
