alcidmr
Can I plant live plants live like cryptocoryne wendtii green and stauragyne repens and if I can, how deep should the gravel be? I tried bacopa monnieri and it kept floating, so I still have it floating lol. That’s why I was hesitant on getting live plants lol any suggestions, will appreciate it thanks. Prochaska
Yeah just make sure you have root tabs for those plants and if they don’t want to stay in that larger substrate you can always get plant weights to keep them in position
lefty o
i say 1.5" minimum, more is better. i run about 2" gravel in my tanks, and have plenty of plants.
Blaha
I've had no issues with gravel and I use root tabs. Mine is 3-4 inches deep because that's the look I wanted. I wanted to make some hills and valleys in the substrate (the fish have flattened it) and wanted to be sure there would be plenty of space for roots and nutrients to sit
