I have a fantail Goldfish that looks like it has ich. it has white spots on its fins, maybe 7 or 8 through out the fish. All the spots are on the fins, none on the body.

The fish acts normal eats, nothing odd with behavior. Just has those dots, they have been there for 3 days, no other fish in the aquarium has them. Is this ich? It doesn't quite seem like it totally? any ideas and how I would go about treating it?

Hi Jake, Do the spots look like this?

If so, they are probably breeding tubercles. Goldfish (and other cyprinids) get them on their gills and fins during breeding season.

If not, it's probably either ich, or stress ich. If you're unsure, feel free to post pictures of your goldfish so we can further diagnose.
