mona
Help, I found my order of plants had been left on my snowy cement porch Saturday (I assume). Found them this evening (Sunday) by accident. Post office tracking shows they will be delivered tomorrow. I've been checking couple times a day watching for them. I opened the box. The plants are very very cold. Like the grocery store cold case foods. What do I do? Heat packs are not putting out any heat. Right now they are still sealed in their packages and laying on the carpet Infront of baseboards heater. Do I warm them to room temp and drop them in tank? Drop them in even cold? Plants them as soon as possible? Help, what are their chances to survive the cold? CalmedByFish
I know that when living tissue gets frozen, its best odds are if it's thawed slowly/gently. That's all I've got though! I hope someone else can help more. Edited December 20, 2021 by CalmedByFish
Turtle
Sorry this happened to you if they did not freeze you may get lucky depending on the plant. Keep them wet, warm them up, and plant. Make sure you tell who you delta with the story . Good luck I would plant them.
mona
Crisis averted folks. Candi at Aquarium Co-op let me know cargo gets cold in flight so it will be ok. I should have known that. In my mind these are my little babies. How cool is that, on a Sunday night the company answered my frantic email right away to calm my fears. That's awesome customer service.
