Rainbow
Hi, just inherited this fish tank. I am wondering what the stuff on this leaf and rock is and if it's good or bad for the fish. Also, do you know what kind of plant it is? Thanks.
Guppysnail
Your plant looks like anubias. I’m not great with fixing algae issues my critters gobble it up before I even see it but the immediate approach is cut the leaves off at the base that are worst affected they will not recover but continue to drain resources from the plant. Manually remove what you can from the others. Coop algae erasers work great for this. Best of luck I hope someone can help you rid the problem Edited December 13, 2021 by Guppysnail Typo
Sumson
That looks like green or black beard algae on the leaves and rocks. I agree with @Guppysnail, cutting off the most affected leaves would be the best. Edit: That plant looks like anubias coffeefolia Edited December 13, 2021 by Sumson added name of plant

PedroPete
Definitely an anubias - maybe nana or coffeefolia - hard to tell. It looks like it hasn't had proper nutrition prior to your ownership. Do you have any Easy Green? Might be a long term solution to help balance the tank....
