TomO
I had a small clump of hair algae in my live bearer tank. I was able to just grab it and pull it completely out. But I’d like to keep it from coming back. Any suggestions? My tank is heavily planted. So I’d hate to cut back on lighting. How many hours of light is too much? It’s on for about 12 hours per day now.
KBOzzie59
I run most of my lighting for 8 or less.
JettsPapa
I've had pretty good luck with just removing it by hand when I see it. Eventually it seems to give up, but I'll agree that reducing light may also help. I don't seem to notice much difference in plant growth if I have lights on for six hours or twelve.
