Atitagain
I just moved this guy 2 days ago on Saturday he stayed out with other 2 ACs till lights out. He had no issues (I was monitoring them) because of the move. Sunday morning he was hanging in back corner, no real worries I seen him come out to eat. Sunday night and this morning Monday, ate as well but still at other end of tank kinda hiding. So when I feed tonight I made sure to get him out so I could have a look. I’m thinking this is damage from aggression, I’m having a problem with it and he’s separated with the aggressor. But there is no other marks or damaged fins. Seems fast to be a disease, but don’t really know. I just dosed with easy green last night that is why nitrates are a lil high. seems normal other than eye. Color good, eating normal, movement good, and he’s not hiding anymore but definitely hanging at other end of tank. Will be getting him in QT tonight. dasaltemelosguy
This is of little help as I don't know what this issue was but I had a severum with what appeared to be a very similar issue. I never took a picture of it but I found one online of a goldfish whose eye looked exactly as my severum's did: It appeared over a 2-day period and eventually had completely cleared up by itself. At the time I asked about it and it wasn't something anyone I knew had seen previously. However, for what it's worth, when I don't know what the issue is, I like to start treatment with salt. I went to Level 3 of AQC's salt treatment and it cleared up by itself in about a week. That's not much help as I never found out what it was! Just my 2c.
Brandon p
It looks like the lens of the eye might be scratched. The bottom pic it looks like there is a flap like it bumped into something or another fish got him good. I had two that were being a little rough and knock down good size coral rock. There are a few Diseases that cause cloudy eye but the the way you describe the situation I think it’s an injury On 11/29/2021 at 7:52 PM, dasaltemelosguy said: This is of little help as I don't know what this issue was but I had a severum with what appeared to be a very similar issue. I do believe the serverum. Salt isn’t a bad idea but I might wait a few days. Although if it’s going to quarantine by itself I will salts not gonna hurt it.
Colu
I think that's damage I think it's a case of wait and see I would increase water changes and add a some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons that should speed up the healing process Edited November 30, 2021 by Colu
Atitagain
@dasaltemelosguy @Brandon p @Colu thank you all! I do believe it’s damage as well just wanted to make sure if someone seen something I didn’t. I have him in a QT and I’m at 1 tablespoon per 3G with salt now. So now it’s wait and see. much appreciate the help.
