Fish Folk Posted November 29, 2021 Share Posted November 29, 2021 I was checking to make sure my lights were all out tonight — we’d had some power outages, and I also sometimes flip a timer switch and forget to reset. Anyway, I was surprised by a couple things, and thought I’d share. First off, I added more air, restored flow, and cleared surface plants to allow more light to the Banded Darters. Wow! This male is really colored up with nice minty green stripes… You can compare him against a tank mate on right, behind some greenery… I’ve also been trying to capture how my young Rams I’ve bred and raised are starting to color up now, and snapped shots of these two sleepers… And of course, just because it’s always fun to harass another College dorm at night, I just had to peek at these dreamers… 6 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

To a question I once asked him at a Q&A when he visited our Fish Club, Cory said, “There’s always going to be that old guy in every fish club, sitting over in the corner, who is just in love with some rare little brown fish…” I’ve tried to be that guy, but it’s just not me. The darters are so cool, when I set up a native tank they will certainly be at the top of my list for stocking.
