Dwayne Brown Posted November 28, 2021 Share Posted November 28, 2021 Um does your city use chlorine treatments? I don't believe that drain flies can come from a tap but it is certainly possible. I would grab an aquarium water tester and see if it reads any chlorine in water straight out of your tap. Your fish should be fine but this could be a health hazard. Most time drain flies come from "drains" because the are stagnant and full of sludge. I can't see tap water having this, is your tap water clear? Does it smell off?
