@Beardedbillygoat1975 @Vanish I did probably get a little ahead of myself. Probably should have got my back up culture established first. I like the idea of the cascading water system, the look of it, and it was fun to build. But now I’m not sure it’s worth it, will let it run for awhile. If results are good or great I will leave set up as is. If results are same or worse then I will break it down and keep the culture just in the 10G while seeding my 20G for a back up.
another strike against this system is its loud!!! I don’t think I will be able to listen to that. And if I try to stop the noise that stops my attempt to cause fragmentation. Probably go back to single tank soon.

I just came across this video. I'm not sure how I never watched it before. I'm sure it will validate any successes you're finding. You've probably already seen it, but I'm dropping it here anyway for followers to checkout...

Very interesting video thank you for sharing. Treating them like fish I believe is very important, I check on them couple times a day. I noticed he has his tank full of water to get the floating plants in there I assume. All I’ve seen says keep them in 4-6 inches of water but I wouldn’t think this is a big difference. I also like the use of lava rock I think I will mix some in with my gravel.

I have dismantled the connection system and now there are two independent tanks with blackworms. Noise was way to high. I will just have to maintain the small water volumes until the culture grows enough to start a 20G blackworm grow out and keep the 10G culture going and do something different with the 3G. The 10G seems to be taking off really well, getting better testing results every day. Up to 20+ BW per turkey baster. Some small , medium, and large ones.

I purchased another portion of BWs today from LFS. I will be seeding a 20G tank with these tomorrow. Currently their in a small container in refrigerator.

20G is seeded and all 3 cultures are doing great. The 3G is reproducing well (not enough for daily feedings) and the 10G is really taking off. I’m getting uncountable amounts in testing with a turkey baster. I do not feed from this tank yet. I have a feeling I will need to go much bigger to do daily feedings.

8 months in and still going fairly strong. I have the two cultures with some vallisneria and pothos under the water and both totes are covered with duckweed. I feed my pea puffers(2) 3-4 times a week and each feeding I’ll pick another tank, usually the one I’m trying to get some breeding happening and give them a portion as well. I’m hardly changing water mostly top offs nitrates hover around 50ppm.I started with RO water mix with my tap 3-1 if I remember correctly. And on top offs I do the same. PH 7.2-ish and no heater (68-71 F). Feed plant scraps, krill flake, pellets, algae wafers, and other if I’m feeding something else to fish.
