Low pH but very hard water, help?

Any advice for how to balance pH and hardness? I have low pH, lower than 6.4 on the Coop test strips, but very high hardness, close to 300 PPM.
I don’t think most of the fish are affected, but I have a tank of guppies and black neons that always seem to be struggling. The posted image is from that tank.

I have Indian Almond leaves in my two beta tanks, not sure if that will help these guys as well?

I appreciate the help!

I have the exact same issue with my water!  In my southeast asia biome tank, it's not a problem.  In my primary tank, it doesn't seem to be a problem, although I just lost the second of my two koi angels, so I'm working on a new plan for that one.  Perhaps the smartest tank I've done is my new Tanganikan Shell Dweller tank.  I used Aragonite as my substrate, which buffers pH to 8.4 or higher, and my water is already crazy hard, so it seems perfect for those little guys!  Hope this helps.

I think with guppies and tetras youll always be pulled in different directions. Their demands are a bit different if you’re trying to breed them.

Your guppies crave hard water the pH is not a huge issue perhaps a bag of crushed coral in the filter would get your carbonate hardness up but your gH is ideal. Agree with @ADMWNDSR83about Lake Tanganikan fishes down the road if you like cichlids.

The tetras would appreciate the tannins and humic acid from the Indian almond leaves. They like a low pH and would like it softer.honestly though most of these tetras if not wild caught could care less if they’re farmed they’ve had salt and all manner of things thrown at them.
