Cheryl P.
I have a 90 gallon planted tank that's about 1.5 months old that I'm treating for ich with Ich X. The only media in my 2 Aquaclear 70 filters are sponges. When I put the recommended dose of Ich X in the tank, the water turns a blue/green color but the color all but disappears within a few hours. Does anyone know if that's normal? I was under the impression that the color would stay longer. Is the medicine still active if there is little to no color to the water? Struggle
I have the same experience but the medicine has worked every time I’ve used it.
ange
That's normal in my experience. I've treated with Ich-X while running an AquaClear 30 (sponge and bio media only) and two sponge filters and had the same effect with my water. The treatment was effective and took ~1 week to clear up a particularly bad case of ich on my wild type angelfish.
Administrators Cory Posted October 5, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 5, 2020 The color dissolves, that is normal.
Mridul Singh
Whenever I dose Ich-X, the color also disappears after a while. That's just how the medicine works. It will still be active!
