Andy's Fish Den
I'm not a fan of no support under the ends. If it was me, I would get a piece of 3/4" plywood cut to the same size as the top of the stand and then stain it to match, and do several coats of polyurethane to waterproof it.
Hafton
Thank you! That is super helpful. Will do.
Atitagain
To me it looks as tho it’s over hanging in the back and flush in the front. So the tank is to wide, I would be very nervous to set that up. Aquariums are designed to carry all their weight on the corners. But if you did like @andy’s fish den said to use a piece of plywood just cut it wide enough to get entire tank on it I would even add an extra inch to that.
Hafton
Don’t have the tools right now to cut to the correct size. Think this will work in the meantime?

anewbie
Yes but just remember once full it will be very painful to cut the wood at a later time. Also i would put something under the plywood to protect the finish of your furniture as the weight might cause the ply wood to indent it.
isaly
I'd cut it first.
Taco Playz
That looks better with the wood at the bottom. Should hold the tank now. Would be cool to see some photos once you set it up. I would cut it so it would be flushed with the stand but other than that looks good.
