ThomasLC
In a 75 gallon Mbuna tank. How much of a wave do they like? Should this just be aimed to the surface? Could I do a dual head one aimed at the surface the other at the sub straight. I like to use the current to insure the waste gets pushed out of areas not easy to clean.
Beardedbillygoat1975
I think one at the surface and another at the substrate would be great as they produce a tremendous amount of waste.

eatyourpeas
I do not have a Mbuna tank, but have found a Coop powerhead with an intake sponge keeps my SW tank a lot cleaner and provides a great current for the anemones and the other critters that like high flow.
Atitagain
When I had my mbuna set up it was 15-ish fish in a 60G. That’s what I did had one in the left front pointing towards the surface along front wall, canister filter intake at back wall. Then at other end a wave maker pointing to center bottom back wall, large ACO sponge filter back corner and canister filter outlet pointing towards center front. Seemed to work well kept bottom free of debris. I think you have to take your aquascaping, hardscape, and filtration into account and tweak a set up that keeps water flow aiding your filtration. Add isn’t to strong to wear out your fish. good luck mate
