Joshua.l
venezuelan corydoras are pretty rare to find in my area but I was able to get a trio of them about 1-1.25 inches of size. Unfortunately 3 was all that i could find but I'm on the look out for. I wanted to know how big they would have to get for breeding, and if it was even possible to breed them with only three, If anybody has any experience with breeding these fish your help would be much appreciated. thanks
KBOzzie59
It's not as much size as it is age. As I recall my pepper corys were showing mating habits at around 8 months. You can breed with 3 as long as you have at least 1 each of the opposite sex. This will help determine sex (not my video).
Joshua.l
Thanks, do you know if there are any particular triggers for this species, I seen a lot breeding guides for corydoras but I couldn't find a breeding guide for this specific species of corydoras . Andy's Fish Den
I have had my venezuelan cory spawn after a water change. When I fed them afterwards, they were spawning, laying eggs on the glass. I figured I would leave them be for a couple of hours to finish up then I would scrape the eggs to raise, but when I went to fish room, they had already eaten the eggs.
