Beardedbillygoat1975
Depends, old growth pieces and roots tend to be big enough and they can hide in and around it usually no problem. Depends on the type of pleco as well. Bristlenose I’ve never had an issue.

Beardedbillygoat1975
Spider wood and cholla are helpful for babies but not adults. My BN fry are presently residing in about 4 pieces of seasoned cholla wood. Once they get to a couple inches and can’t fit into the piece of cholla they ignore them. Guppysnail
I have used manzanita, mopani and large thick grapevine with adult and baby bristlenose. They do fine on all but the grapevine was a clear preference, the mopani second and manzanita last.
