Stephen Zawacki Posted October 25, 2021 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Hey guys I have a question this is for a project in the spring, and the question is there is a seapora tank 60 gallon cube 24x24x24, I want to know would that be big enough for a pair of discus. And maybe a dither fish of some sort, I've looked up videos, and it says for a pair a 55 gallon minimum so I think it works, but want to get everyone's opinion Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know breeders keep pairs in a bare tank as small as a 20 gallon tall sometimes. 29 gallon more commonly. It all depends on what kind of setup you are going for. The 55g you mentioned as a minimum is 48x13x21. Good dimensions for a scaped/planted show tank with tall bodied fish like discus or angels. Andy's Fish Den Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 A 60 cube would be fine for a pair of discus. It may not be the most ideal when it comes to dimensions, but as for water volume, it will be fine. My general recommendation is 10 gallons minimum per discus, so that is triple that.
