WillC
Does anyone know how I can tell what model my beamworks light is? It came with some equipment I purchased 2nd hand. I am considering using it for the first six months or so for my new tank. Fluval 3.0 is my choice of current market light, but I heard @Corywas working on a light and want to hold off on the fluval just in case. Will the beam works be a good temp light for a lowlight tank until I upgrade?
Atitagain
The beam works should be fine for lowlight plants. But that’s assuming it’s the correct light for the tank, is it long enough? Will light penatrate to bottom? It’s hard to answer these questions without knowing what size tank and size of light. Maybe go to beamworks web site and try to match up what you have by size and make, or find a model number to search for it on there.
WillC
I will look again at their site. There isn’t a model etc listed on the light it is long enough for my 40g.

It’s full spectrum so I don’t see why not. Maybe someone else that has more experience will agree.
Andy's Fish Den
That will be fine for you. I have a beamsworks light on a couple tanks and have no problem keeping any of the common, popular aquarium plants like crypts, anubias, java ferns.
