Yanni
I'm going to be gone for a week but I have lots of pleco fry that are a 2-3 weeks old and just recently got a spawn. What can I do to make sure the fry stay alive if I can't have someone come over to feed them?
Scapexghost
Consider getting an Auto feeder. Otherwise you could introduce some driftwood, and try to grow as much algae as possible. You could also add some amazon swords for them to munch on.
Stacy Z
You need to find a friend! I’m so want to start a program like Rover for aquarium cleaning and fish sitting! Lol
Atitagain
What about repashy on driftwood I think it would be good for atleast a couple of days then they have the wood. Repashy can even be added to the water column in its power form so fry can eat it that way.
Colu
I would second an auto feeder
mountaintoppufferkeeper
What species of pleco?
Beardedbillygoat1975
I second @Scapexghostrecommendation on buying a sword plant they’ll have plenty to munch on and it won’t die from them chewing on it. @Atitagainhad a great recommendation for Wood and Repashy makes total sense - it would take them 3 days or so to get through that and then they can just keep eating the wood. They probably will be just fine feed them good the days prior to leaving as well as do a nice size water change that week prior.
Streetwise
Wood is an excellent feeding source for many inhabitants.

I agree with the rest of the thread. If it were me I would do the drift wood with repashy morning wood or a more vegetable based repashy (solient green or super green) poured over it for those species. If they were carnivorous pleco types I "wood" have suggested a more meaty version of repashy or mixing in other foods to the repashy to accomplish the same idea. I use a mortar and pestle to turn whatever foods I have in the fishroom into a powder for fry. Using this method I have added extreme krill flake, extreme pellets, soldier fly larvae, etc into the repashy mix.
