Ken Burke
I’ve been wanting to try breeding red sailfin Corys, but have not had the tank space. Finally able to consolidate and make the room. Can’t wait for Wednesday!

These are right at 1 inch, so I’m hoping they will get more color when they mature.

Ken Burke
Just a quick update. All 10 of these little guys are thriving in their new home. Their colors have deepened. I don’t have @JimmyGimbal skilz in the photography department, But here are a couple attempts! 5
Ken Burke
Finally! Caught my red sailfins spawning this morning! the pictures are a little hard to see, I need to clean my glass. Lots of glass surfing, 2 or 3 smaller fish chasing a larger one, “T” formation. So fun to watch. 2
Ken Burke
I moved there guys to my wife’s betta tank. I had real good luck breeding panda Corys in there, so I figured “What the hey! I’ll try it”. While getting ready for church, I noticed the Corys were acting especially playful. Did not take the time to see what they were really doing. When I went to clean the tank this afternoon I found this! I’ve never found Cory eggs, the baby’s just seemed to appear. I pulled most of the eggs, and I’m gonna try the method @Fish Folk use.

Ken Burke
So, that did not work. All the eggs died. Not sure if it was the power loss or something I did wrong. try and try again
Ken Burke
Well I left them alone. Now I have baby’s! not many, and wouldn’t work for bap anyhow. But I have several of the little critters. This one is the largest baby.
Ken Burke
Progress check. yesterday I pulled all the eggs off the glass so I can keep track of spawns. Since I used my fingers, most fell to the gravel. The few I managed to get are in a breeder box.

For my amano project I had a light and used a marinade syringe with a pretty big opening to get them from the fresh --> salt tank. For eggs it might work but be a bit too strong. Awesome progress, I am waiting for you to show off a macro shot of some week old fry before they get any coloration/pattern! It's so nice to see the progress of the juveniles and the pattern forming in. I think the corys you have really love the tank and the little hides those rocks give them. I can only imagine what that tank with some moss balls and little cory fry swimming all around would look like. (that description being very similar to my first successful breeding project!) Ken Burke
Ok, they finally spawned again! I pulled these And left these…. So I pulled more than I left. I haven’t any luck with eggs I’ve pulled to date. But willing to keep trying until I find the magic
Ken Burke
Welp. All the eggs I pulled disappeared. I saw several shrimp in the breeder box yesterday. But, the cories spawned yesterday! This makes 3 times this week. finally, here are some pictures of the babies. They are growing so fast
