CanadianFishDad
So I just moved to my new house and the previous home owners had left this laying on the basement floor. To me it looks like old live rock from a saltwater tank? If I clean these can I use them in my planted tank?

Note that dry rock (formerly live coral that is now dead) will act like crushed coral. Depending on your tap water, you may or may not want it in your planted tank. If your water is soft to moderately soft, it can help (for some fish). If you have hard water already, you may not want it.
CanadianFishDad
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. Currently it comes out of the tap at 7.2 Im glad I came here and asked first. Also, I watch your channel and your fish room is awesome! I haven't seem mudskippers near my area but I've been on the lookout since checking out your channel. Vanish
Hard/Soft water refers to kh. Your 7.2 sounds like a measure of ph, acidity.
