Redfire
Our blue velvet shrimp have white/cream discoloration area on their back for 3-4 days. They seem to be acting fine. Is this disease? Thank you for your help.
Griznatch
If you are talking about the yellowish area behind the head, those are eggs. If you hadn't heard the term before, it's called "saddled". Next time she molts if there's males in there, the eggs will get fertilized when she moves them to her tail. Then she'll carry them around for about a month (give or take a week) until they hatch.
Guppysnail
Towards the end of the month of her being “berried” with eggs underneath (hopefully she will become fertilized for you) look close use a magnifying glass if needed. You get to see the eyes while mom is still carrying 😁
