Jungle Fan
Well, my friend got back and took all the bobcat photos, but not all of my raccoon photos from the same day. Here is one of a female raccoon staying warm in a snowy environment. I could've used the flash extender to get more lighting on her but I did not have the heart to mess with her in that way after what most likely was a long, hard and cold night out foraging. Fish Folk
Spring birding today around town in the Appalachian mtns. Rainy, cloudy… but birdy and blooming! There may be some bird photos to add later. Caspian Tern we’re watching right now is kind of a big deal this far inland! TOtrees
Forest walk with dogs this am. I’m a “by ear” birder, didn’t see more than one or two of these. This is the first weekend that 90% of these have been back up here in York Region, Ontario (30-60 mins north of Toronto, but still in the city’s orbit). Wood thrush veery Black throated green warbler Blue winged warbler Black throated blue warbler Hooded warbler Rose breasted grosbeak Ovenbird Field sparrow Red shouldered hawk Scarlet tanager Red eyed vireo Pine Eastern wood Peewee Blackburnian warbler Nashville warbler Chestnut sided warbler Definitely my favourite time of year, when all my “friends“ come back.
